Who We Are
The FIRST Mount Olive Robotics Team (MORT) was established in fall of 1996 as a joint partnership between the County College of Morris and Mount Olive High School. Our first competition was at the Rutgers Mid-Atlantic Regional in March of 1997.
Now, MORT is one of the largest clubs at Mount Olive High School with over 75 students, multiple Mount Olive teachers, college professors, engineers, adult technicians, active alumni, and parents. We enjoy the support of local businesses as well as the continued use of the CCM machine shop. MORT has formed an official club at Mount Olive High School, and enrollment in technology courses have tripled thanks to our efforts.
In order to better educate our students, we have established MORT University prior to the construction season, where our students work along with our adult core team to learn about engineering principles, electronics, programming, Computer Assisted Drawing, Computer Animation, and teamwork.

The Mount Olive Robotics Team is always looking for donations of hand and power tools, computers and printers, raw materials, and other equipment to be used or stripped for parts. Donations of time and money to defray travel, equipment, and materials costs are always appreciated as well. If you can help, a sponsorship packet is available to any person or corporation interested in supporting MORT.
